HGTV and Rise to Fame Tarek enlisted a buddy to help make an HGTV video audition in 2011. The footage included Tarek turning a whole house along with Christina. Pie Town Productions, a production firm located in New York City got the audition tape. The company's executives were in love with Tarek Christina. They signed a contract in 2012 together with HGTV. The show "Flip of Flop" was launched on the 13th of April, 2013. From 2013 until 2017, the series ran for 92 episodes over 7 seasons. Christina and Tarek bought homes in Orange County that were usually homes with a middle-income. They then spent several weeks renovating the house to turn into profit.
